This was the week of deep breaths and feel the fear but press 'publish' anyway. Even if the book does not sell many copies, I will be glad that I put it out there. It might annoy a few people (some more liberal people have already said to me that the main character Anna would have saved herself a lot of bother had she not had her baby and others who are conservative have said that she was 'a fool' for persevering in relationships with questionable males and for having sexual relations with one man who clearly did not love her). A core group of women liked the book, and related to the characters and that spurred me on.
I am on my way out, and will pass the South Kensington book shop where your books are very popular. Nuala, I will take a photo when it is brighter and send it to you.
